Position Overview
Are you passionate about supporting students through transformative international experiences? Do you thrive in dynamic, intercultural environments? Join IFSA as a Program Assistant in China and help shape meaningful study abroad journeys for U.S. undergraduate students.
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to explore the field of international education while developing essential skills in program coordination, cross-cultural communication, and student engagement. As a member of our team, you’ll work closely with local and global professionals to provide supports in program delivery, student advising, and cultural engagement. You’ll sharpen your language and communication skills, expand your professional toolkit, and gain behind-the-scenes insight into global program design. In this position, your responsibilities would include:

Support student integration and well-being through regular check-ins, appreciativeadvisingand responding to student’sneeds timely.

Assistwith planning and delivering extra-curricular activities, excursions, and orientation events andnewsletter.

Contribute to academic processes such as course registration and learning plan consultations.

Maintainaccuratestudent records andassistwith administrative tasks in Salesforce.
-
Participate in emergency response protocols and student incident management (no emergency phonedutiesrequired).

Coordinate housing arrangements before and throughout the semester.
Requirements, Work Experience and Education

A current university student
-
Strong English languageproficiency, overseas experiencepreferred .

Experience instudyabroad or life overseas

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to engage with and support students with diversebackgroundand experiences.

General knowledge of university system and student life
