The Role
Due to rapid growth and expanding global demand, we are looking for the right candidate to step into a pivotal leadership role as Director of Operations. This is a rare opportunity to join a thriving organization at a scaling stage—where your expertise will directly influence our operational excellence. Based in Yiwu, China, this role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge internal teams and overseas customers while ensuring operational excellence from product development through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end operations including product development, sourcing, procurement, production coordination, and quality control.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between internal customer service and overseas stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with global clients, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and exceptional service.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and maintain KJ’s high-quality standards.
- Travel regularly to Hong Kong, the US, and other key markets to support client engagement, market research, and supply chain oversight.
- Monitor industry trends and apply strong fashion sensibility to guide product direction and sourcing strategies.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail across all operational touchpoints—from specifications to shipment documentation.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the fashion accessories industry.
- Based in Yiwu, China; willing and able to travel internationally as required.
- We welcome candidates of any nationality. Fluent English and Mandarin are essential for daily communication; Cantonese is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong team player with proven ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving under pressure.
- Upbeat, cheerful personality with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Sharp fashion sense with hands-on knowledge of product development, sourcing, and procurement.
- Fast learner with the ability to operate at a consistently high pace.
