Description
Early Engagement & Proactive Quality Planning: Partner with Hardware Engineering Team, Product Design teams in the early concept phases (N+1 / N+2 products) to conduct advanced quality, process, and design assessments for new brittle materials and components. Develop a comprehensive mass production (MP) scaling and quality plan based on early assessments to de-risk high-volume launch.
Act as the Quality Engineering lead for assigned programs, managing all quality functions and serving as the project manager for quality initiatives at supplier locations.
Design, develop, optimize, review and debug software used in interacting with products and instrumentation (especially optical-related).
Specify and acquire instruments, components and tools for use in a NPI environment.
Cooperate with cross functional & multidisciplinary teams to specify and implement test coverage.
Run simulations or experiments to make data driven decisions.
Conduct HW/SW/FW validation and FA for testing metrology, especially for the optical-related metrologies, instruments and systems by technical benchmarking (ex, Gauge R&R process).
Deploy calibration and performance verification stations throughout the NPI cycle. Compile and analyze data to refine algorithms, and establish optimized & balanced process and part specifications.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for material failures and quality issues, applying problem-solving tools and leading multi-functional and supplier teams.
Work closely with internal and external groups to define quality expectations and implement appropriate assurance techniques throughout the supply chain.
