This Tooling Design Engineer is mainly to develop high precision, cost-effective tooling solution to support manufacturing scalability, product quality and innovation, ensure tooling align with product specifications, continuously improving design processes to reduce lead time, minimize cost, strength our metal product market competitiveness.
Design, develop, and optimize high-quality metal stamping tooling, drawing tooling, and other high precision toolings based on product requirements, ensuring compliance with design standards, manufacturing feasibility, and cost-efficiency.
Lead the entire mold design process from concept initiation to final validation, including 3D modeling (using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or UG), 2D drawing creation
Conduct thorough mold design reviews, simulate mold performance, and identify potential issues (e.g., material flow, tool wear, dimensional accuracy) to implement proactive improvements and avoid production delays.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure mold design aligns with production processes, quality specifications, and supply chain capabilities.
Provide technical support during mold fabrication, trial runs, and mass production, troubleshooting mold-related problems and optimizing tool performance to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Stay updated with the latest mold design technologies, materials, and industry trends, integrating innovative solutions to enhance mold reliability, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
Manage multiple mold design projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and budget constraints, and communicate project progress to customer regularly.
Maintain accurate design records, version control, and technical archives to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
