Job Overview
Lead the global Quality & Technical department to ensure goods are manufactured and delivered with consistent, compliant quality aligned with client and brand standards. Take ownership of fit, sample approvals, technical governance, factory performance, and team leadership across key sourcing markets.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all technical and quality assurance processes for apparel and hard goods, ensuring products meet defined specifications, client expectations, and brand standards.
Lead, manage and develop the global Technical & Quality team across China, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India and other markets as required.
Manage factory evaluation, audit and quality control systems to maintain excellence in production and shipment.
Own size specs, grading, fit validation, and independent approval of fit samples, PP samples and shipment samples for key clients; lead fitting sessions, pattern corrections and technical adjustments as needed.
Manage and optimize the factory sourcing matrix to ensure stable, high-quality production capacity for clients.
Build and maintain effective organizational structure, headcount and skill development for the technical team; control operational cost and efficiency.
Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers based on quality, delivery, compliance and cooperation.
Drive technical optimization during sampling and pre-production stages: evaluate new workmanship, washing, finishing and fabrication methods; review test samples, size-set samples and pre-production samples.
Provide technical product recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce costs and prevent quality risks during mass production.
Develop and maintain unified quality standards and guidelines for suppliers and internal teams.
Manage daily operations of the Technical department and ensure inspection protocols are strictly followed.
Maintain active and professional communication with clients regarding quality, fit, sampling and technical requirements as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
10+ years of progressive working experience in quality assurance, technical or product roles within apparel sourcing, trading or retail.
Strong professional knowledge in pattern making, garment fit, size grading and apparel construction.
Deep understanding of quality control systems, inspection standards and manufacturing processes for both apparel and hard goods.
Proven experience working for premium brands, high-end trading companies or European retailers with strict quality requirements.
Ability to independently lead fit sessions, approve samples and solve technical quality issues.
Strong leadership, cross-team coordination and client communication skills.
Experience managing global teams and multi-country supply chains is highly preferred.
