This position will be a member of the CM&ODM sourcing team with as main focus to cover all activities related to procurement inside new project development process acting also as a key reference point inside NPD core team for the broader procurement organization . This position will also support initiatives aimed at streamlining, optimizing and managing the supply base and product lifecycle.
Role Mission
Supports the sourcing team in ensuring quality, cost and timely launch of specific products are fully met through Procurement contribution.
Responsible for product life cycle management and supports the Procurement function for a group of assigned materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimum cost, and within the policies and guidelines established by management.
Key Responsibilities
Project delivery & costing
- Support to achieve supplier quality, cost and delivery targets and execute sourcing and procurement actions for new projects assigned
- Identify potential suppliers and issues requests for quotations ( Implementation in agreement with CM/Commodities Strategy).
- Analyze and select suppliers (in agreement with CM/commodities strategy), issue purchase orders; follow up and expedite as necessary
- Contract management
- Master data maintenance
- Process data and prepare Procurement documentation for the new projects’ checkpoints.
Product life cycle management ( cost; technical modification; service; availability)
- Supply availability support and commodity management after GA.
- Supplier performance monitoring and mitigation plan for assigned suppliers.
- Supplier relationship management and cost negotiation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in technical discipline (mechanical or electronics ) or in economic related fields .
- Primary language is Chinese, fluent English, with written and verbal communication.
- At least 3-4 of years in procurement organization in mechanical or electronic sectors preferably in international and remote
environment. Experience in providing support and oversight for new projects is highly desirable.
