SGL CARBON Far East Ltd. Shanghai is a company solely funded by SGL Carbon in Shanghai Comprehensive Industrial Development Zone. The company, established in April 2003, provides high-quality graphite materials, products and composites to semiconductor industry, automotive and mechanical industry, high-temperature industry, other industrial applications such as mold making and non-ferrous metal. The special graphite products of SGL Carbon include isostatic graphite, extruded and vibrated graphite (including high purity-graphite with ash content below 5ppm), C/C composite materials, flexible graphite foil and graphite felt.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Set up EHS work frame, to make sure AP sites EHS work at same management level
2. Advises management on existing and new government regulations relating to environment, health and safety, and recommends necessary action to attain or maintain compliance
3. Oversee and manage regional incident investigation processes, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions
4. Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, community groups, and clients, on EHSA matters
5. Ensure a safe work environment by developing and maintaining the appropriate programs, policies, and procedures such as risk assessment, LOTO, chemical management etc.
6. Lead and support the development and delivery of EHSA training programs to employees and contractors across the region
7. Energy Management: ensures together with management and sites compliance according to energy management requirements of legislation and SGL standards
8. ESG: ensures together with management and sites and group legal compliance according to actual legislation and SGL standards
9. Ensure that the EHS policies, procedures and programs for the site are developed and effectively implemented and maintained in a timely manner
10. Ensures environmental impact of new processes and equipment is assessed and that where needed environmental objectives are formulated
11. Organizes periodic audits (internal and external) and inspections of facilities and operations to assure compliance with company policies and procedures and with legal and regulatory requirements
12. Prepares the EHS policy, objectives and targets of respective sites
13. Monitor and report on regional HSE performance against established key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and implementing proactive measures to improve results
14. Ensures that the EHS programs of the contractors are appropriate
Main Requirements:
Bachelor or above degree with major in Environment Engineering/Safety Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or other relevant areas
Minimum 10 years working experience in relevant areas
Experiences in establishing Environment, Health & Safety Management System (ISO 14001 EMS & OHSAS 18001) are preferred
Expert for environmental safety and people safety in Chemical industry
Interpersonal skill, building partnerships & team work, result-orientated, self starter & highly motivated
Excellent communication & written English
Have National Safety Engineer Certification is better
Required to work independently
Need to travel in Shanxi and east of Aisa
