Position Summary
The Vice President & General Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, business performance, and long-term growth of the organization’s operations, encompassing Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Customer Fulfillment, and Commercial Alignment. This non-executive role is accountable for full P&L ownership, enterprise-level supplier strategy, customer satisfaction, and overall business unit performance.
The VP/GM brings an enterprise mindset, influencing strategic direction, capital planning, product innovation support, and culture development. This role represents the voice of operations at the executive table and drives excellence across both short- and long-term horizons.
Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams across operations and commercial functions to achieve strategic and financial objectives.

Full P&L Ownership: Drive accountability for all financial metrics—revenue, cost, margin, and capital spend—with rigorous forecasting and budget control.

Strategic Supplier Management: Architect and execute a multi-year sourcing and supplier strategy; lead executive-level partnerships and performance negotiations.

Customer Satisfaction & Fulfillment: Ensure operational capability and service levels meet or exceed customer expectations; drive OTIF and lead-time improvement.

Operational Scale & Transformation: Guide the business through growth phases, capital expansion, and capability scaling; lead multi-site operations.

Strategic Planning: Shape long-term strategy in collaboration with the executive team, including product pipeline alignment, facility footprint, and workforce planning.

Executive Collaboration: Partner with C-Suite on enterprise strategy, risk management, market development, and innovation.

Organizational Health: Champion culture, engagement, and leadership development across all functional areas.

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure regulatory compliance and enterprise risk mitigation in quality, safety, and environmental areas.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s in Engineering/Operations preferred.

15+ years in operations or general management roles, with experience leading business units or multi-site networks.

Demonstrated success in executive supplier negotiations, commercial alignment, and financial strategy.

Proven ability to scale operations and lead cross-functional business transformation.
