We're seeking a motivatedAI& Data Science Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, AI engineers, clinical experts, and cross-functional teams, contributing to exciting projects that leverage generative AI and advanced analytics to optimize Roche's digital healthcare solutions. Key Responsibilities
As an AI& Data Science Intern, your key duties will include:
- GenAI Prototype Development: Support the design and building of Generative AI prototypes, focusing onRetrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) andVectorization to enhance data retrieval and response accuracy.
- Prompt& Context Engineering: Experiment with and refineprompt engineering andcontextual orchestration techniques to optimize LLM performance for laboratory, clinical and to-Consumer use cases.
- Agentic AI Exploration: Assist in developing and testingAgentic AI frameworks that can autonomously execute workflows and reason through complex healthcare data tasks.
- Data Pipeline Construction: Build and maintain scalabledata pipelines to preprocess, clean, and ingest diverse datasets into vector databases and analytical models.
- Visualization& Insights: Transform complex model outputs into actionable insights usingdata visualization tools, helping stakeholders understand AI-driven trends and performance.
- Operational AI Improvements: Suggest and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the AI lifecycle (MLOps), offering innovative ideas that align with the team's technical objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree inData Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency inPython and familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain).
- Foundational understanding ofVector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) and embedding techniques.
- Experience withdata visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn).
- Knowledge of SQL and building basic data integration pipelines.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on how AI can solve specific business and clinical challenges.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical cross-functional teams.
- Growth-Oriented: Enthusiastic about staying at the forefront of the rapidly evolving Generative AI landscape.
