Role Overview
As an Operations Senior Associate, you will be the heartbeat of our sea export functions. You will lead a small team and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of sea shipments, ensuring that our cargo moves efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with global standards. This role requires a blend of tactical execution—communicating with logistics partner and managing bookings—and analytical thinking to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Execute day-to-day sea export operations, including managing bookings, documentation, and SOPs.
- Shipment Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics partners & carriers to resolve shipment issues and optimize booking windows.
- Performance Optimization: Lead daily operational execution, proactively managing exceptions to minimize lead times and reduce logistics costs.
- Process Engineering: Develop and maintain internal SOPs. You will identify operational bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, and implement solutions to eliminate recurring issues.
- Data-Driven Insights: Provide critical support in data collection and reporting, translating raw operational metrics into actionable insights for the leadership team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design and implement programs that improve organizational scalability and innovation.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Proactively communicate with all internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on performance KPIs and organizational goals.
- Partnership Management: Develop and maintain relationship with logistics partners and ocean carriers to ensure smooth shipment operations in the region.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team to ensure process execution & adherence and achieve the operational targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations (specifically Sea Export).
- Problem-Solving: A natural "troubleshooter" who enjoys performing root-cause analysis to solve complex operational challenges.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage external vendors and internal cross-functional teams effectively.
- Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
- Innovation: A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and the ability to suggest creative ways to scale operations.
- Team Management: Preferably experience of managing a small team.
