Role - Category Manager, Asia Sourcing for Chemicals and Energy
Owns end-to-end category leadership, sourcing strategy, commercial execution, and capability uplift for commodity chemicals and energy in alignment with both global and regional sourcing strategy and INVISTA's principles.

Responsibilities
- Category strategy & ownership
- Lead end-to-end sourcing strategy balancing economics, risk and working-capital impact, to ensure meet commercial and operational requirements and contribute to business growth goal.
- Own category outcomes and drive capability development.
- Commercial economics & value creation
- Embed economic thinking and use data-driven analysis to prioritize high-impact initiatives and maximize profitability.
- Design commercially executable approaches that protect margin and track value creation, ensuring transparency to stakeholders.
- Market intelligence & trading mindset
- Maintain an actionable market point-of-view and develop short- and medium-term price outlooks.
- Apply a trading mentality to inform economic decisions and negotiations under fast-moving market conditions.
- Supplier relationship, contracting & risk management
- Build and sustain commercially profitable, high-integrity relationships and negotiate risk-adjusted agreements that align supplier incentives with our business goals.
- Lead supplier qualification, onboarding and continuous improvement programs to enable mutual benefits
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks and maintain contingency plans to improve competitive position.
- Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder engagement
- Act as a principled entrepreneur to lead cross-functional workstreams, secure timely stakeholders' alignment, and communicate impact clearly.
- Execution, digitization & continuous improvement
- Drive disciplined execution from strategy to contract, ensure benefits are sustained, and partner with sourcing excellence to deploy digital tools and automation
- Compliance, IP protection & talent development
- Ensure all activities in compliance with INVISTA policies, legal and regulatory requirements and protect INVISTA's Intellectual Property.
- Mentor and develop team members.
Requirements:
- l At least 8 years experiences in sourcing/commercial/trading within oelfins, pretrochemcals, energy, or related commodity markets
- Bachelor degree in chemistry, Business, Supply Chain or related field;
- Proven negotiation and contract management experiences for commodity categories .
- Strong communication, coordination, interpersonal and cross functional leadership skills
- Willingness to take on challenging assignments or work under pressure when needed.
- Good English in both writing and oral
