The Controls Engineer Intern will support the automation and controls engineering team in developing, testing, and maintaining control systems for advanced manufacturing equipment. This role provides hands-on experience with PLC programming, automation systems, electrical design, and machine commissioning in a manufacturing environment. It is ideal for senior students or recent graduates pursuing an engineering-related degree.

Assist in the development and troubleshooting of automated control systems

Support PLC, HMI, and motion control programming activities

Help with electrical schematic updates and control panel documentation

Participate in machine startup, testing, debugging, and commissioning activities

Assist in collecting and analyzing equipment and process data

Support troubleshooting of production equipment and automation systems

Collaborate with Mechanical, Process, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on project tasks

Help maintain engineering documentation, operating procedures, and technical reports

Participate in continuous improvement and automation upgrade projects

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Software Engineering, or related field

Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, HMIs, or industrial automation systems

Familiarity with electrical schematics and control concepts preferred

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment
