Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Compensation & Benefits (C&B) professional to manage C&B strategies and operations across the China Region, with a primary focus on manufacturing plants. The C&B Manager will design, implement and optimize plant compensation, benefits and incentive programs, ensuring competitive, compliant and cost ‑ effective total rewards practices that align with global guidelines while adapting to local labor market conditions and operational needs.
This role will work closely with Plants Managements, Plant HR, Finance, Global C&B, EHS and other stakeholders to provide data ‑ driven recommendations on pay, incentives and rewards that support productivity, quality, safety and employee retention.
The role reports directly to the Regional Compensation & Benefits Partner of China .
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the C&B focal point for manufacturing plants in China, translating regional Total Rewards frameworks into practical local solutions for plant and blue‑collar employees
Contribute to the design and optimization of plant compensation structures , ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness
Partner with Plant HR teams, Plants Managements and Finance to design and refine incentives and bonus programs linked to productivity, quality, safety, attendance and continuous improvement
Lead annual compensation review and incentive payout processes for plant populations, including data preparation and recommendations for management approval
Analyze labor cost, overtime, headcount utilization and incentive effectiveness to identify trends and improvement opportunities, proposing data‑driven adjustments
Ensure plant C&B practices comply with local labor, social insurance and tax regulations, as well as internal policies and audit requirements
Support market surveys and benchmarking for manufacturing and hourly roles by consolidating and interpreting plant C&B data and monitoring local labor market trends
Prepare regular reports and presentations on plant headcount, labor cost and incentive metrics, providing insights to Plant Management, HR and Regional C&B to support decision‑making
Lead and manage the workforce planning and headcount budgeting process for the Plants
Support global C&B initiatives and ensure local implementation of corporate compensation policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or above, majoring in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field is a plus
5 + years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, with at least 2–3 years supporting manufacturing populations
Solid knowledge of compensation structures, incentive design and regulatory / compliance requirements in China; experience in multi ‑ country environments is a plus
Fluent in English
Strong analytical and Excel skills; ability to translate data into insights
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
High integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Comfortable working under ambiguity and within fast-paced, high-growth environments
Skilled at working within complex organizational structures, with the ability to navigate layered decision-making processes and build alignment across local team s
