About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen within the Food & Beverage Division in Shenzhen, Head Helper is responsible for assisting in running the assigned kitchen efficiently and effectively. He/she is to ensure that the agreed quality, hygiene and other standards are kept or surpassed at all times. The Head Helper reports to the Wok 1 Supervisor.
As Head Helper, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Create and check standard recipes and the preparations process of it to ensure portion control, uniformity of taste and quality
- Liaise and communicate with other Sous Chefs and Section leaders on any inter departmental requirements
- Assists in creating and developing new dishes and recipes by keeping up with the latest market trends. Propose and initiate new ideas, services and products
- Handle customer comments and complaints and take swift corrective action after consultation with Cuisine Chef
As Head Helper, we expect from you:

Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in similar capacity
