Mission:
The Product Manager for Platform Blasthole Drills (ADS) is responsible for managing and developing the Nanjing PC Blasthole Drill portfolio in alignment with the Global Product Line strategy, to ensure market competitiveness, customer relevance, and profitable growth. The role ensures a clear product strategy, supports new product development, manages the product lifecycle, and serves as the key interface between customers, sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Monitor global and Chinese markets, key industry trends, and customer segments; conduct market surveys and translate findings into clear product insights.
- Develop and maintain the long‑term product development roadmap in alignment with Global Product Line strategy.
- Maintain and continuously improve the current product portfolio (function, quality, and cost) based on market needs and performance data.
- Generate product specifications and business cases for new product developments and product updates.
- Prepare product pricing proposals and conduct product cost analysis in alignment with portfolio governance.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date competitive portfolio including equipment specifications, market activity, and market share.
- Develop and maintain Machine Order Templates and option logic.
- Support Marketing Communications by developing core product content and input for marketing materials (brochures, PPTs, product specifications), including value‑based sales arguments, technical data, features, and benefits.
- Provide product and application trainings to Customer Centers Sales and Product Manager teams.
- Support Customer Centers and Regional Business Managers with application studies, capacity calculations, and TCO analysis to ensure correct product positioning.
- Plan and execute product launches and sales campaigns together with Regional Business Managers and Marketing Communications.
- Track product portfolio performance and drive regular product updates across the lifecycle.
- Actively participate in product development projects, assume project leadership for pre‑studies, and act as Product Owner throughout the project lifecycle.
- Travel to customer sites and actively engage with customers and end users to gather direct feedback, validate product performance, and ensure customer and operator needs are clearly understood and reflected in the product portfolio.

Hiring Qualification:
Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience:
Bachelor degree or above in engineering and/or commercial or similar – Mining Engineer degree is preferred.
Bachelor degree in a relevant field is required.
A minimum of 6 years in Marketing and sales, service and/or engineering experience in this responsibility area
A minimum of 6 years working with mining industry customers
Mining industry within a Product Company or Customer Centre, for instance in Marketing.
Competence requirements
Good relevant technical background and its application is a must
Good commercial understanding and insight is a must
Good command in English is a must
Project management experience is a plus
Professional presentation and communication skill is a plus
Relevant construction and mining industry field surface drilling and application experience is highly preferred.
