A first degree in mechanical/mechatronics/electrical/electronics engineering depending on the product/category of products in the portfolio

A minimum of 6 years of experience in a product development environment ideally from early stage development through till the start of mass production.

A combination of deep subject matter expertise within their fundamental engineering disciplines along with a demonstrable, broader appreciation and knowledge of other disciplines allowing them to collaborate and lead cross-functional work-packages essential for the successful delivery of projects. A peer-respected engineer with a reputation for delivering and for resolving complex technical challenges.

A sound knowledge and experience of best practices in technical specifications, risk and issue management.

Demonstrable experience of working on engineering problems involving cross-functional interactions and deliverables

Demonstrable experience of undertaking engineering trade-off analysis and leading related reviews/discussions with the cross-functional stakeholders.

An appreciation of systems thinking, systems engineering and project management tools and practices is desirable but not essential.

Leadership skills - a demonstrable ability to lead cross-functional project teams in the resolution of product level risks and issues.

A demonstrable ability to manage stakeholders accountable for product quality, reliability, safety, performance claims and compliance & approvals.

An ability to persuade and influence at all levels in pursuit of technical excellence and timely project delivery

Experience using Siemens Teamcenter is desirable.

Excellent communication and reporting skills. An ability to report and communicate appropriate information at all levels from engineers to C-level executives.
