Being responsible for Low Voltage product design. Solid technical proficiency in Mechanical & Electric parts design and development, with senior engineer coaching independent ability to achieve the design task, recognize problems and provide input to solutions. Actively follows the scientific discussions and contributes independently.
Using functional design methodology and simulation to achieve good product reliability and robust design.
Delivery Desigen and implementing design review with cross function. Making prototype and validation solution, test to validate the design fulfill the technical requirement, following type test and ensuring the product can be released to market. Ensure designs comply with a blend of standards: IEC 60947-1/IEC 60947-11、GB/T14048.1/ GB/T14048.11, UL1008 and Mojor Classification society roules (e.g.,CE,CCC)
As Agile Team member, active take charge and contributing to the business target, independent achieve own task on time, cost and quality
Communicating/cooperating with oversea and local stakeholders to maintain products and manage projects.
Has a basic understanding of the importance of IP for the ABB business, contributes to IP discussions and develops project clearance reports. Identifies risks in R&D projects.
Author detailed technical specifications and decimations for LV switch and associated equipment.
Implement technical clarifications and customer requirement evaluations, ensuring vendor proposals comply with design intent, industry standards, and client specifications.
Create and Release vendor submittals, including design drawings, test plans, and factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures.
Qualifications for the role
BS in mechanical engineering with min. 8+ years’ experience or MSc in mechanical/electrical engineering experience in LowVoltage product R&D.
Familiar with the common used engineering materials: metalsheet, copper bar, insulation part etc, and related manufacturing /processing
Familiar with new product design and development process, but also know well design methodology include FMEA, tolerancecalculation, GD&T (ASME), DFA/DFM, etc.
Knows well low voltage product related standard, and capable to draft and execute verification test plan according to standardsIEC60947、GB/T14048 and UL1008
Proficient in CAD, e.g. AutoCAD, Creo, Solidwork and MS office.
Well logic and construction thinking ability, work independently
Good of oral, reading and express technical solutions and communicate with global team in English
Good communication and teamwork skills
