Position Title: Senior Tax Specialist
Position Specification:
This position will assist the tax manager in pursuing China tax compliance goals and filing tasks, analyzing on designated tax accounts, computing relevant tax provision of Otis Shanghai entity. On this position, the candidate is expected to be sensitive to potential tax risks in daily operation and through business development, be capable of incorporating risk mitigation and process optimization on an appropriate and constant basis.
Basic Accountabilities:

Dedicate in fulfilling corporate tax compliance of relevant entities. Work closely with external tax vendor to complete VAT return filing for domestic sales and refund benefit for export sales , CIT filing and annual reconciliation, stamp duty filing, etc.

Prepare monthly/quarterly tax accounting entry. Timely conduct reconciliation against the variance between accounting booking and tax filing result. Participate in the calculation of income tax provision under US GAAP and handle other affiliated undertakes.

Assist tax manager to fulfill external reporting in view of taxation and administration by local tax authorities, participate in tax inspections and controversy solution where relevant.

Assist tax manager to implement local government support program, timely prepare and submit application documents as required. Work closely with business operation, COEs and accounting center etc. Maintain good relationship with internal & external stakeholders.

Take proactive actions in mitigating potential tax risk as effectively identified and measured. Pursue for continuous and tangible improvement on existing policy/process in view of any tax control weakness. Timely follow up on any newly promulgated tax laws/regulations and ensure business being updated.
Qualification Requirement:

Bachelor degree or above. Professional certification e.g. CPA/CTA is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years’ working in China tax area. Experience in accounting/tax firm, or MNC tax function is largely preferred. Experience in exporting VAT refunds for trading companies and manufacture is necessary.

In-depth knowledge in China tax regulation. Strong analytical skills, ability of providing thoughtful solution under complex situation.

Cross functional communication with internal and external stakeholder is required.

Good written and spoken Chinese & English.
