Position: CDU Comprehensive Quality Process Control Engineer
Position Summary
The CDU Comprehensive Quality Process Control Engineer is a key leader responsible for driving end-to-end quality excellence across CDU-related operations. This role owns the strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of process quality control systems, ensuring robust, scalable, and data-driven quality performance. The position plays a critical role in risk prevention, advanced problem solving, and cross-functional alignment to achieve zero-defect goals and superior customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Strategy & Process Ownership

Define and lead the overall CDU process quality control strategy aligned with business and customer objectives.

Own end-to-end process quality governance, ensuring consistent standards across all CDU operations.

Establish scalable control frameworks to support both current production and future growth.
2. Advanced Process Control & Capability Management

Drive advanced process control methodologies (SPC, Cp/Cpk optimization, digital control systems) to ensure world-class process capability.

Lead critical-to-quality (CTQ) identification and risk mitigation through FMEA and control plan optimization.

Champion proactive defect prevention over reactive inspection.
3. Complex Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

Lead resolution of high-impact, complex quality issues with significant business or customer impact.

Serve as the technical authority for root cause analysis and systemic corrective actions (8D, PST, DMAIC).

Ensure horizontal deployment of lessons learned across lines, products, and sites.

Identify and drive strategic improvement initiatives to reduce variation, cost of poor quality (COPQ), and customer complaints.

Integrate digital analytics to enable predictive quality and real-time decision-making.
4. Quality System & Cross-functional Leadership
- Ensure CDU processes fully comply with global quality standards and customer-specific requirements.

Lead audits and act as the primary interface for customers on quality-related topics.

Drive system-level improvements beyond compliance toward best-in-class performance.

Act as a key quality partner to Operations, Engineering, NPI, and Supply Chain leadership teams.

Influence decision-making in process design, equipment selection, and production ramp-up.
5. New Product Introduction (NPI) & Change Management

Lead CDU quality readiness during NPI and engineering changes, including:

Process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)

APQP / PPAP deliverables
-
Ensure smooth ramp-up of CDU products with stable yield and low defect escape.

Drive early design-for-quality (DFQ) and design-for-test (DFT) inputs.

Lead quality readiness for NPI and major process changes, ensuring robust validation (APQP, PPAP).

Mitigate quality risks during product launches and scale-up phases.

Ensure seamless transition from development to mass production.
6. Supplier & Component Quality Management

Define quality requirements for critical electronic components (ICs, sensors, connectors, PCBs).

Lead supplier quality issue escalation related to CDU failures.

Ensure incoming quality aligns with functional and reliability expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
Experience
-
5-8+ years in quality/process engineering, with strong exposure to CDU industry
-
Proven experience handling complex system-level quality issues.
Technical Expertise

Functional testing (FCT/EOL) and diagnostics
