Position Overview
This role will serve as the legal business partner for the ISG China business team, providing end-to-end legal support covering commercial contracts, project advisory, compliance and risk management, dispute resolution, and cross-region/cross-functional collaboration, enabling the business to operate within a compliant, controlled, and efficient framework.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Legal Support and Collaboration
Provide daily and project-based legal support to the ISG (Infrastructure Solutions Group) China business team; collaborate with internal legal function teams, including IP, trade compliance, litigation, data privacy and other functions, and maintain efficient communication and alignment with legal teams across global regions.
2. Contract Review and Negotiation
Support the approval, drafting, review and negotiation of key contracts with suppliers, customers and other business partners, including sales and service agreements for servers, storage, software, hyperconverged infrastructure, networking products and other offerings, as well as R&D agreements, marketing cooperation agreements, strategic cooperation agreements and similar arrangements.
3. Project and Compliance Advisory
Provide legal analysis and solutions for ISG commercial projects, strategic cooperation projects, outbound business projects and other initiatives; work with functional legal teams to jointly support product development, new product introduction and compliance, product quality, regulatory compliance and other legal matters relating to business operations.
4. Risk Prevention and Dispute Resolution
Identify and assess legal risks in commercial transactions and propose practical risk mitigation solutions; handle disputes, claims, controversies, litigation/arbitration and other matters relating to ISG commercial transactions.
5. Policy and Process Support
Assist in developing, improving and implementing company policies, processes and legal positions, and enhance the business team’s awareness of legal risks and efficiency in compliant operations.
6. Legal Support for Joint Ventures
Provide legal support for joint-venture governance, transaction arrangements and operational matters as required by the business.
Key Qualifications
1. Full-time bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in law; 3–5 years of experience in an in-house legal department or corporate/commercial legal practice at a law firm is preferred.
2. Strong capabilities in contract drafting, review, negotiation and risk identification, with the ability to independently support business teams on day-to-day legal matters and key projects.
3. Experience in commercial litigation, arbitration or other dispute resolution is preferred; experience in trade compliance, new product introduction and compliance, product quality or regulatory compliance is preferred.
4. Legal work experience in ICT, internet, telecommunications, cloud computing, servers/data-center infrastructure or other relevant industries is preferred.
5. Strong English working proficiency, with the ability to conduct contract review, negotiation communications and legal document drafting in English.
6. Good business acumen, structured analytical capabilities, cross-team communication skills and project execution capability, with the ability to provide clear, practical and actionable legal advice in complex business scenarios.
7. Team-oriented, responsible and proactive, with the ability to effectively and consistently deliver high-quality legal support in a fast-paced business environment.
8. Overseas study or work experience, legal experience at a multinational company, or PRC legal professional qualification/bar admission is preferred.
