The System Engineer and Firmware Specialist Laser Scanning contributes to build up expertise at ZEISS IQS China to develop metrology-grade handheld laser scanners. This role includes deep technical knowledge across electronics, embedded software and systems engineering.

Completed degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field

Solid knowledge of C, C++, and Python for developing and implementing software solutions

Practical experience in low-level programming, especially controlling optical components, display control, and image processing on PC or embedded system platforms

Experience working with embedded operating systems (e.g. LINUX)

Knowledge of Linux shell scripting for process automation and system administration is an advantage

Analytical and solution-oriented approach to challenges and an interest in developing innovative strategies to enhance system performance

Experience in developing optical measurement devices
