We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Software Engineering Localization team in Beijing. Our team is dedicated to localizing software features for the Chinese market.

You will focus on evaluating and improving the accessibility of our iOS localization features, ensuring that our products provide a seamless, intuitive, and empowering experience for visually impaired users. If you are deeply passionate about Apple products, think naturally from the user's perspective, and want to help break down barriers to make technology truly inclusive, we want to hear from you.","responsibilities":"Accessibility-First Testing: Lead the testing and validation of Apple’s localized software features (especially text input, keyboards, and regional features) using VoiceOver, and other iOS assistive technologies.
User-Centric Advocacy: Leverage your unique perspective as a visually impaired user to identify real-world accessibility gaps, navigation blockers, and usability pain points that traditional testing might miss.
iOS Quality Assurance: Apply iOS testing methodologies to thoroughly validate software features, identify edge cases, and ensure the overall quality of the localized user experience.
Defect Management: Identify, reproduce, and accurately report software and accessibility defects. Work closely with our local developers and fellow QA engineers to triage issues, track them to resolution, and verify fixes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local and global engineering teams to troubleshoot localization and accessibility challenges, providing qualitative feedback to improve inclusive design.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python or Swift) to assist with test automation or data processing is a strong plus, but not a strict requirement.
Familiarity with accessibility standards or Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) for accessibility.
Previous experience in software testing, localization testing, or testing text input methods/language models.
High adaptability, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to thrive within a diverse, inclusive, and highly collaborative team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Extensive daily experience and profound familiarity with iOS Accessibility features, particularly VoiceOver and related assistive tools for the visually impaired.
Strong empathy for the user; a proven ability to think from the customer's perspective and relentlessly advocate for a better, more inclusive user experience.
Deep passion for Apple products and a strong familiarity with the Apple ecosystem (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, etc.).
Understanding of software QA methodologies, specifically iOS testing methodology, and defect tracking lifecycles.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid communication skills with professional-level English proficiency (written and verbal) and native-level fluency in Chinese.
