Qualifications and Skills (Education, Experience, Industry/Functional Knowledge, Computer, Communication, Leadership, Behavior, etc.):
- B.S. in Health, Safety or Environment or related field required. Advanced degree a plus.
- Recognized certification in safety, health, or environmental field as a plus.
- Ability to lead, motivate and influence others to achieve HSE objectives with limited support staff is critical.
- Thorough understanding of HSE state and local regulatory requirements required.
- Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good problem-solving skills.
- Mature judgment and decision-making ability, with 8+HSE experience.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal. Technical writing skills are desired.
- Effectively interfaces with employees at all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of construction, HSE management system, contractor, Pre-Startup Safety Review, Machine Safeguarding, Compressed Gas and Cylinder Mgmt., Hot Work, Management of Change, Incident Investigation, ERP and Environment management system.
Description (Please list 5~8 job responsibilities)
- Deployment Honeywell sensing and control (China) Co., Ltd. HSE Management Systems.
- Deployment of HSE procedures, training, internal and external communications in concert with corporate policy/procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Deploy and regularly review Risk Assessment Tool and control plans development within the Nanjing site
- Deploy the emergency response plan, and direct emergency drills in Nanjing plant.
- Support and assure thorough incident investigation activities, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and closure. Monitor trends and champions injury/illness reduction.
- Periodically lead and participate in HSE inspections, self-assessments, and audits. Present findings to management and prepare applicable reports. Track corrective actions to closure.
- Assure implementation of environmental management processes, including management of chemicals, wastes, and pollution prevention.
- Implementation of contractor management processes.
- Serve as a liaison with third-party vendors or regulatory agencies.
- Other relevant tasks assigned by the line manager.
