The candidate should be willing and able to relocate to Singapore for this position.
## Key Responsibilities
1. Develop new customers and business opportunities, with a focus on ship owners, ship managers, vessel operators, and other potential clients in the ship supplier industry.
2. Manage and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients, including China clients and other assigned key accounts.
3. Follow up closely with clients on enquiries, quotations, orders, feedback, and service requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity.
4. Accurately update customer enquiries, quotation details, order information, and line items in the company’s ERP systems, including D365 and SCINT.
5. Work closely with the Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure quotations, pricing, order fulfilment, delivery arrangements, and payment follow-ups are properly coordinated.
6. Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and commercial arrangements with clients, while ensuring profitability and alignment with company guidelines.
7. Monitor sales performance, customer requirements, market trends, and competitor activities, and provide regular updates to Management.
8. Prepare proposals and business recommendations for Management’s review and decision-making.
9. Identify areas for business growth, process improvement, cost reduction, and service enhancement within the commercial function.
10. Participate in and lead business development, process improvement, and customer service initiatives as assigned by Management.
11. Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, e-platform developments, and improvement strategies relevant to the ship supplier industry.
12. Attend client meetings, business discussions, and networking opportunities where required.
13. Support the achievement of sales targets, customer retention, and overall commercial department objectives.
14. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Commercial Director or Management.
Work Pass: Employment Pass
Working Hours: Mon – Fri 9 AM – 6 PM & Sat 9 AM – 1 PM; following confirmation, alternate Sat work
Language: Proficiency in English & Chinese
Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
Annual Leave: 18 days for 1st year, prorated if serving less than 1 year, increase by 1 day for each subsequent year of service, up to a max of 21 days/year
AWS: 1-month salary, prorated if serving less than 1 year
Bonus: subject to performance
