The Associate Specialist – Engineering serves as a key partner to the Engineering organization, providing operational coordination, process support, and project administration to enhance overall engineering effectiveness. This role drives the efficient execution of engineering activities, facilitates cross-functional collaboration, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of engineering processes, systems, and documentation. By managing critical operational and coordination activities. The role reports directly to the (Associate) Director of Engineering Support / Site Leader.
Responsibilities (职责 Zhízé):
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Workshop & Equipment Management
-
Ensure workshop facilities are maintained in a safe, organized, and operationally ready condition.

Manage the inventory, utilization, calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules of tools, equipment, and workshop assets.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace efficiency, organization, and equipment reliability.
-
Training Coordination (in partnership with HR and Engineering Teams)
-
Coordinate and schedule technical and operational training programs across engineering functions.
-
Track training participation, completion status, and compliance requirements.
-
Maintain accurate training records and provide regular reports on training effectiveness and completion metrics.

Collaborate with HR and Engineering teams to support employee development and competency management initiatives.

Sample & Shipment Management
-
Coordinate the procurement and tracking of competitor products and benchmark samples for engineering evaluation.
-
Maintain structured records and databases for samples, test units, and related documentation.
-
Manage domestic and international inbound and outbound sample shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking.
-
Work closely with logistics providers and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment-related issues.

Supplier Coordination (Engineering Support)

Monitor supplier performance through scorecard metrics and ensure corrective actions and improvement plans are effectively implemented and closed.

Track supplier resource allocation and capacity planning to support project and production requirements.
-
Generate and maintain supplier performance reports for engineering and management review.
-
Facilitate communication and coordination between suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.

Engineering Documentation & Change Management Support

Assist engineering teams in creating and processing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) within Windchill PLM.
-
Support the maintenance and accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), part masters, product structures, specifications, engineering drawings, routings, and related technical documentation.

Ensure engineering data and documentation comply with company procedures, revision control requirements, and quality standards.

Provide administrative and process support for engineering change management activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Admin Supporting Work
-
Office Administration & Facility Support.
Visitor reception, transportation arrangement, part office supplies procurement, stationery procurement and equipment(Drink water machine/ Coffee machine) maintenance coordinate.

Expense & Reimbursement Management.
Handle invoice reconciliation, reimbursement, such as FedEx and SF Express Bill, BCD Bill, Canteen Bill, Transportation reimbursement.

Event & Engagement Support
Assist in planning and executing company events and activities.

Other tasks assigned by leader.
KEY INTERFACES & STAKEHOLDERS

Associate Director of Engineering Support / Site Leader – for priority setting, escalation, and KPI review.

Engineering Leaders / Technical Team Leaders – for request intake, scheduling, and follow-up.

External Partners – suppliers, procurement, coordination, and other BISSELL sites for ordering, shipment, receiving, and payment coordination.
Qualifications (资格 Zīgé):
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

College degree or higher (bachelor’s degree preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering support, administrative coordination, or similar role.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, R&D, or technical operations functions.

Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill preferred) and engineering change management processes.

Strong organizational, coordination, and documentation management skills.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data tracking/reporting.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and suppliers.
