As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your mission is to [Develop robust supplier base, control China supplier quality with continuous improvement to ensure successful sourcing/NPI project execution and stable quality of mass production for CHINCO sites.]. You will report to [SCM Dept. Manager].
You will
- Manage and develop CHINCO suppliers’ performance in quality, process control and continuous improvement to meet supplier performance target (DPPM, PPAP, 8D, etc.)
- Work closely with project team members at sourcing/NPI project execution stage, provide technical & quality support (SESPA, drawing review, material spec confirms, process control, PPAP execution, etc)
- Carry out audits and assessment to new supplier with SESPA tools, follow up corrective action plan, and complete & sign off audit report in time.
- Do sample/PPAP documents review and take sample full inspection at supplier side to ensure 100% Sample/PPAP approval at 1st submission at CHINCO sites, solve sample reject / quality issue in timely manner.
- Deploy PPAP process requirement on key project, and use quality tools, such as FEMA, control plan, MSA, SPC, 8D etc. if necessary to control and develop supplier process.
- Daily work with PC Boshan cross functional team to handle & solve supplier rejects/quality issue in ERP following site quality procedures.
- Plan and perform periodic process audit and EHS audit per plan to existing suppliers for potential risk finding & improvement with key focus on material spec, tooling maintenance, possible process changes without notification to CHINCO, etc.
- Lead, plan and take training to suppliers on CHINCO process/products, site requirements, quality tool, EHS, etc. for capability development.
- Quickly solve quality issue and escalate potential issue/risk at supplier in first time, ensure corrective action implemented at supplier with 8D discipline (1/2/14/30 days) and effective close.
- Complete other tasks assigned by department manager.

- Bachelor or above degree in Mechanical Engineering (Casting specialty is highly preferred).
- Relevant Previous experience (minimum years of experience to competently carry out the role, not total year of experience) Bachelor or above degree in Mechanical Engineering (Casting specialty is highly preferred).
- Professional quality engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacture or supply chain function.
- Good knowledge & at least 2 years’ experience in casting techniques/manufacturing field (Foundry work experience is highly preferred).
- Good experience in managing suppliers’ quality/development and local sourcing project will be plus.
- Good communication, influence, and negotiation skills with teamwork spirit.
