We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Asia-based CastleGate Forwarding Operations team. This is a high-impact operations role focused on driving execution, process excellence, and continuous improvement across our origin operations network.
As a Senior Associate, you will bring expertise in freight forwarding, origin operations, and data-driven decision-making to improve operational performance and drive continuous improvement across the CastleGate Forwarding network. You will independently lead cross-functional initiatives across key operational programs, including Incident Prevention, Origin Trucking, and other strategic operations projects, taking ownership from problem identification and solution design through implementation and measurement of results.
While the role requires strong analytical capabilities, data and reporting are viewed as enablers of operational excellence rather than the end objective. The successful candidate must be comfortable translating operational challenges into scalable solutions, leveraging analytics, automation, and technology to drive measurable business outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Strategic Operations Projects: Own and deliver cross-functional initiatives across key operational programs such as Incident Prevention, Origin Trucking and operational excellence initiatives.
Drive Operational Performance: Analyze KPIs, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance service reliability, quality, speed, and cost efficiency.
Leverage Data & Automation: Build dashboards, reporting solutions, and scalable tools that enable data-driven decision making and operational visibility.
Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with Operations, Technology, Product, Suppliers, Warehouse and Vendor teams to drive alignment and execute business priorities.
Own End-to-End Delivery: Lead project planning, stakeholder management, execution, performance measurement, and reporting to ensure successful outcomes and continuous improvement.
What You'll Need:
Operations & Project Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional projects with a track record of delivering measurable business impact. Ability to manage stakeholders across multiple functions, sites, and countries in a global operating environment.
Analytical & Technical Competency: Advanced proficiency in SQL/BigQuery, Excel/Google Sheets, and visualization tools (Looker, Power BI, or Google Data Studio). Experience using analytics and automation to solve operational challenges.
Industry Experience: Background in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, warehouse operations, or related operational environments preferred. Experience in origin warehouse consolidation, quality control, trucking, or supplier operations is a plus.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex findings into actionable recommendations.
Mindset & Execution: Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while being a collaborative team player who works effectively across functions. Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and responsibilities.
Qualifications & Travel: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field preferred. Fluency in English and Mandarin required. Willingness to travel across China, India and Southeast Asia as business needs require.
