About the Team
At ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions, we are developing next-generation braking and vehicle control systems that make commercial vehicles safer, smarter and more sustainable. As part of our growing R&D team in Jinan, you will work with experienced engineers across China and global locations to develop innovative braking functions and vehicle control systems for future mobility.
What You Can Look Forward To as a Customer Application Engineer Braking:
Perform calibration and parameter tuning of vehicle functions and systems to achieve customer and project requirements
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into calibration strategies and parameter specifications
Conduct vehicle and bench testing, data analysis, and validation of calibrated functions
Optimize system performance through calibration activities, including functionality, robustness, and compliance requirements
Support issue investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions during development and validation phases
Collaborate with customers, system engineers, software developers, and test engineers to ensure successful calibration releases
Prepare calibration reports and maintain calibration documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Your Profile as a Customer Application Engineer Braking:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive calibration, vehicle function development, vehicle testing or application engineering
Hands-on experience in ECU calibration, parameter tuning, vehicle testing, and data analysis
Strong practical experience with Vector calibration and measurement tools, especially CANape; familiarity with CANalyzer and CANoe is highly desirable
Good understanding of vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet.
Knowledge of brake systems, chassis systems, ADAS, vehicle dynamics, or commercial vehicle functions is preferred
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
