Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible to develop new business relationship and strengthen existing client relationship.
Key Accountabilities
- Achieving the goal being set-up including client prospecting, marketing plan, new client acquisition and revenue generating
- To monitor and manage new and existing account relationship in order to optimize return
- Partner with Global Transaction Services (GTS) and Global Financial Markets (GFM) teams to expand client wallet share across institutional cash, trade, and treasury derivatives.
- Deliver quality underwriting recommendations based on sound judgment, and a systematic and consistent approach in line with Bank’s credit policies
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Relationship Cultivation: Build and maintain key client relationships across key Financial Institution clients to originate strategic banking transactions.
- Ecosystem Orchestration: Serve as the primary, seamless intermediary between external clients, internal product groups, and backend operational support units.
- Credit Analysis: Structure and compile complex credit proposals, write data-driven credit reports, and handle timely annual credit reviews.
- Market Origination: Proactively pitch, market, and structure bespoke capital markets, trade finance, and treasury hedging solutions to institutional prospects.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Execute robust first-line Customer Due Diligence (CDD), KYC protocols, and transaction monitoring to eliminate financial crime risks.
Experience
- Industry Tenure: Minimum of 10 years of progressive institutional relationship banking experience within the Financial Institutions sector.
- Sector Expertise: Deep domain knowledge of Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI), with explicit focus on the securities, asset management, and public/private fund segments.
- Product Proficiency: Strong familiarity with FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities), structured derivatives, transaction banking, and master documentation frameworks such as ISDA, GMRA, or GMSLA.
- Regulatory Acumen: Up-to-date, fluent understanding of China’s financial market policies, macroeconomic regulations, and compliance standards.
- Technical Skills: Elite corporate credit analysis, underwriting capabilities, and structured risk assessment expertise.
- Communication Fluency: Exceptional verbal and written English and Mandarin presentation skills tailored for institutional client interactions.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
University graduate, major in either Banking, Finance or Accounting is preferred
