- Research, identify, and engage with Chinese companies, including brokers, agencies, manufacturers/suppliers, and other businesses, for potential acquisition opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads using online databases, LinkedIn, industry directories, trade shows, and other relevant research and networking channels.
- Collect, verify, and analyze key company information, including business size, product portfolio, ownership structure, sales channels, financial performance, and other relevant data before presenting qualified opportunities.
- Evaluate and qualify prospects based on predefined acquisition criteria and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of qualified leads.
- Assist in the preparation, execution, and management of agreements, letters, and other documentation related to acquisition and transaction processes.
- Maintain accurate records within databases and prepare regular lead generation reports.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, and emerging business opportunities within the Chinese market to support acquisition strategies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in lead generation and business development, with exposure to business research.
- Strong understanding of the Chinese business ecosystem; familiarity with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes will be an advantage.
- Excellent online and offline research, data collection, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and other lead generation tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- English language proficiency is required for effective cross-border communication. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage but is not mandatory.
