JOB DESCRIPTION

Title & Function:

BVS Business Controller

Responsibility & Authority:

Drive operational excellence and uphold financial integrity across Areas within APA, ensuring robust financial governance and strategic alignment with organizational objectives

Report to:

M&O APA Finance Director

Working Place:

Shanghai

Scope of activities :

1. Financial Leadership & Oversight:

Support to direct and oversee all financial operations within the Region, ensuring robust governance, transparency, and accountability.

2. Strategic Reporting:

Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, including reviewing of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, for executive decision-making.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting Excellence:

Assist to prepare the budgeting and forecasting processes, partnering with local finance teams to deliver realistic, data-driven plans that align with strategic priorities.

4. Advanced Financial Analysis:

Interpret complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to area.

5. Risk & Compliance Management:

Establish and maintain effective internal controls and financial processes to ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas policies, international accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

6. Global Alignment:

Collaborate with global finance leadership to harmonize area-level activities with the organization’s overall financial strategy and objectives.

7. Business Partnering:

Serve as a strategic finance partner to area leaders, providing financial guidance that enables informed, performance-driven decisions.

8. Performance Improvement:

Champion initiatives to enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across the area.

Comply with the requirements of the HSE management system.
