Executes relevant EHS activities in line with clear policies and procedures at the site/EHS discipline; in order to minimise EHS risks. Entry level professional. May be working towards a professional EHS qualification e.g. NEBOSH or equivalent. Participates in small local projects.
Job Purpose
Supporting EHS Manager (or Supervisor) for development, implementation and enforcement of environment, health and safety requirements to comply with laws & regulations and JM EHS requirements. Making efforts to support EHS culture setup in ZJG plant.
Principal Accountabilities
- Drive HSE management system ( ISO 14001 & ISO 45001)in plant,continuously improve HSE system to keep compliance with legal and JM standards, improve EHS system maturity & site EHS culture.

Support EHS manager to achieve EHS KPI and EHS improvement program (SIP).

Providing EHS training and refresh training for newcomers and employees according to the training matrix, to improve employees’ EHS awareness, especially for Life saving procedure.

Providing training to contractors and supervising their work in ZJG plant to ensure their behaviours to be align with JM EHS requirements.

Daily site tour to inspect working conditions and operator behaviours, and set up the database for observations tracking, in order to manage all risks in ZJG plant

Following up and supervising EHS regular monitoring, and develop corrective & preventive actions, in order to ensure compliance.

Supervising special Permit Work in order to manage high risk operations in ZJG plant.

Supporting and coaching risk assessment in ZJG plant

Supervising incident investigation, supporting to develop corrective & preventive actions tracking.

Participate in the construction of the company's process safety team, participate in process safety analysis, and organize participation in monthly process safety meetings

Communicating with authorities, such as presenting the meeting, completing submission, following up the requirements, tracking the special work training schedule, and etc.

Executing PPE management to comply with occupational health requirements.

Managing industrial Waste and domestic to comply with legal

Managing EHS documents, both hardcopy and e-copy

Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE

Safety Engineer Registration Certificate
-
3+ years of EHS experience in chemical plant or other MNC manufacturing company

ISO14001/45001 internal auditor is prefer.
Bachelor degree in Chemical, Safety, Environmental science or related
Could communicate (oral and written) in English
Familiarize with Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills, both for internal and external, especially be good at or can be good at coaching and communication with operators
Be familiar with ISO14001/45001/50001/safety standardization or PSM, at least one system.
