Compass Group Australia (ESS) is seeking qualified Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs from China who are interested in working in Australia under an employer-sponsored visa.
This is an opportunity to build an international culinary career while working in modern remote-site operations across Australia’s mining and resources sector.
Salary & Benefits
- Annual salary: AUD $95,969 + Superannuation + Site Allowances
- (approx. RMB ¥458,000+ per year, excluding allowances)
- 14 days on / 7 days off roster (14:7)
- FIFO / DIDO from Perth, Western Australia (travel provided from Perth to site)
- Accommodation & meals provided while on-site

The Role
You will work as part of a professional kitchen team, preparing buffet-style and bulk catering meals for large site-based workforces.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking meals across all kitchen sections
- Ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Following Australian food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Working collaboratively with multinational culinary teams
- Adapting to high-volume service in a remote site setting
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from experienced chefs currently based in China who are interested in migration to Australia.
Requirements:
- Relevant commercial cooking qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification)
- Minimum practical experience as a Chef / Sous Chef / Head Chef
- Good understanding of food safety and professional kitchen operations
- Willingness to complete required Australian medical checks and police clearances
- Commitment to remote work and roster-based living
- English communication skills suitable for a professional kitchen environment - Must be able to pass IELTS English standard

- 保持厨房整洁、有序、高效运作
- 与来自不同国家的同事协作

基本要求：
- 具备商业烹饪相关资格证书（或海外等同学历）
- 有厨师 / 副主厨 / 主厨相关实操经验
- 熟悉食品安全与专业厨房操作规范
- 可通过澳大利亚入职前体检（含酒精与药物检测）及无犯罪记录审查
- 能接受远程矿区工作及轮班生活方式
- 具备基本英语沟通能力（厨房工作环境）
- 需具备符合岗位及签证要求的基本英语能力（须通过相关英语测试）
