As a Corporate Commodity Engineer (CCE) for Standard Semiconductors, you will define the strategic and technological direction of Standard Semiconductors (like diodes, mosfets, optocouplers and LEDs) across Siemens. Acting as a technical expert, innovation driver, and strategic advisor, you will collaborate with global Business Units and suppliers to shape the future of our material strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as a recognized technology and component expert for Standard Semiconductors, with deep knowledge of global markets and Siemens’ demand.
- Analyze supplier capabilities, market dynamics, and technology trends to guide strategic decisions.
- Define and implement actions aligned with our Triple Opportunity framework: Sustainability, Productivity, and Resilience.
- Drive preventive supplier quality strategies and develop material roadmaps.
- Lead and consult a global network of Business Units, acting as a bridge to PLM and promoting innovation and collaboration across SCM and cross-functional teams.
- Scout and evaluate new suppliers, recommend preferred partners, and propose alternative state-of-the-art materials or components and foster standardization.
- Identify and promote supplier innovations in collaboration with engineering, quality, and procurement teams.
- Lead cost and value optimization initiatives across the supply chain.
Your Profile
- Degree in Microelectronics or Semiconductor Technology, Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Industrial Engineering with focus on electronics, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in technical marketing, field application engineering, product management, procurement engineering, component engineering with a strong focus on the electronics / semiconductor industry.
- Strong skills in cost and price analysis, project management, and supplier development.
- Strategic mindset, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
- International experience and intercultural competence.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German is helpful.
