Role Summary
The APAC Business Development Lead will be responsible for identifying, developing, and accelerating new business opportunities across the Health & Wellness portfolio in APAC. This role will focus on expanding ADM's presence in key growth areas including probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, functional ingredients, and consumer health solutions.
The successful candidate will leverage AI-powered market intelligence, eCommerce and new retail trends, consumer insights, and strategic partnerships to unlock sustainable growth opportunities and strengthen ADM’s leadership position in the Health & Wellness industry.
Role Summary
The APAC Business Development Lead will drive new business growth across ADM’s Health & Wellness portfolio, with a focus on probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, functional ingredients, and consumer health solutions.
This role will identify and commercialize new opportunities by leveraging AI-powered insights, eCommerce, new retail, and strategic partnerships to accelerate growth and strengthen ADM's leadership position across APAC.
Key Responsibilities

Business Development: Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities aligned with APAC growth priorities.

AI-Enabled Growth: Utilize AI tools and market intelligence (e.g., GEO) to identify emerging trends, generate leads, enhance brand awareness, and drive portfolio growth.

eCommerce & New Retail: Develop opportunities across social commerce, cross-border eCommerce, DTC, and omnichannel retail channels.

Partnerships & Innovation: Build strategic partnerships with customers, startups, and ecosystem partners to accelerate innovation and commercialization.

Market Intelligence: Monitor trends in microbiome science, biotics, personalized nutrition, and AI-enabled wellness solutions to identify future growth opportunities.
Job Requirements

Master degree required; advanced degree in Business, Nutrition, Food Science, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field.

5–10+ years of experience in business development, sales & marketing, innovation, or commercial roles.

Proven track record of delivering growth in Health & Wellness, Nutrition, Consumer Health, or Food & Beverage Ingredients.

Strong understanding of APAC markets and customer landscape.

Experience in microbiome, biotics, nutraceuticals, or functional ingredients preferred.

Knowledge of AI-enabled commercial tools, eCommerce, and new retail trends.

Strong communication, networking, and stakeholder management skills.

Fluent in English; additional Asian languages are a plus.
