This role owns the end-to-end SI/PI architecture across die, package, PCB, connector, and system levels, drives resolution of the most complex integrity challenges, and defines methodologies, standards, and technology roadmap for next-generation interconnects for 200G/lane application.
What You Will Do
- Define and maintain company-level SI & PI design methodologies, guidelines, and review processes.
- Act as technical decision owner for critical SI/PI issues and root-cause analysis.
Lead full-channel SI modelling and optimization from Die Package PCB Connector- System
- Own SI analysis for 28G-224G SerDes, including insertion loss, crosstalk, eye diagram, jitter, and BER
- Ensure compliance with OIF-CEI, IEEE 802.3 and other high-speed interface standards
- Define and review PDN architecture at package, PCB, and system levels
- Lead PI analysis including impedance, transient response, and target impedance compliance
- Correlate power noise impact on high-speed SerDes and system jitter margin
- Correlate simulation models with lab measurements (TDR, VNA, Scope)
- Drive model-to-hardware convergence to improve prediction accuracy
- Drive advanced research in new materials, advanced packaging, CPO, and next-gen interconnect topology
- Serve as the SI/PI technical interface for key customers and strategic programs
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
-
Cross-functional collaboration across IC, package, PCB, and system teams
-
Significant technical influence on company SI /PI strategy
-
Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetics, Microwave, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in high-speed interconnect, SI/PI engineering
- Expert-level proficiency with Cadence Sigrity, HFSS, ADS, CST, HSPICE
