What You Will Do
1.Solid understanding of testing methodologies. Able to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test automation for optical modules. Review existing test software and cases to identify gaps, and create sophisticated, scalable, well-documented test solutions that address these gaps while ensuring long-term maintainability. 2. Utilize high-speed product test equipment and oscilloscopes. Bridge the gap between hardware and software by developing a modular python framework to communicate with low-level hardware using protocol-level communication interfaces (e.g., USB, I2C, I3C, TCP). Develop modular Python frameworks for low-level hardware communication, ensuring seamless integration and scalability. 3. Analyze test data, generate comprehensive reports, and provide actionable feedback for design improvements. Implement structured logging and reporting in formats such as JSON, CSV, YAML, or HTML to ensure traceability and auditability. Proficiency in GitLab and CI/CD fundamentals is required for version control and automated workflows. 4. Drive continuous improvements in test methodologies, efficiency, and accuracy. Maintain high quality code with detailed documentation covering application architecture, testing procedures, validation results and reusable components to support future scalability and team collaboration. 5. Ensure compliance with the latest industry standards, including OIF, IEEE, and MSA specifications. Prior experience in optical transceiver validation, CMIS protocol, or related hardware is essential. Understand production software for optical transceiver products, identify issues or gaps, and make targeted suggestions to improve functionality, reliability, and performance. 6. Collaborate closely with hardware, and firmware teams to troubleshoot and resolve product issues. Support production testing and validation across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with production line requirements and seamless handoffs. 7. Familiarity with GUI frameworks and the ability to develop production-grade GUIs using Python. Ensuring that released software meets product requirements and functions effectively in production environments, including reviewing for usability, robustness, and integration with optical transceiver workflows.
