Job Description:
1. As plant HSSE manager, be response to lead whole plant HSSE daily management activities, supervise and drive HSSE execution, monitor HSSE performance output, identify all gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement, lead or support execution of improvement activities to improve plant daily performance, consistently meet requirements in global HSSE strategy.
2. According to national legal and regulations, group OMS expectation, SPU HSSE policy &strategy and ISO requirements, recommend HSSE program and lead execution to meet internal and external mandatary requirement; furthermore, identify potential risks, develop preventive and mitigation plan, running systematic PIC process, to drive plant enhancement by people, process(risk management and procedure), plant and performance.
3. By coaching, training and high value sharing, to enhance plant workforce HSSE awareness, form a positive safety culture; provide guidance or HSSE technical support for plant team, work closely with each department manager to deliver safer operation of plant.
4. Network externally in local communities, region or globally, introduce good practice, implement top down requirement, leverage local community and authority, to drive and support plant operated in compliance and high reputations. 5. Proactively supporting the net zero carbon target of our group.
The individual must bring a flexible yet disciplined approach to all facets of this job, In addition, the successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 5+ years HSSE experience in manufacturing operations including 3 years management position in a multinational business environment.
- University degree, safety, engineering or chemicals related majors
- Excellent team player - Be familiar with ISO 9001, ISO14001and ISO45001 system. - Be familiar with HSE related legislation and legal requirements
- Result oriented with strong analytical and planning skills.
- Excellent presentation & communication skills, able to deal with people at all levels.
- Good planning and organizing, problem solving and coaching skills
- Good written and spoken English.
- Uses a wide range and depth of technical or specialized knowledge, providing technical leadership and expert advice to others.
- Demonstrates business vision in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Rapidly identifies key issues in a complex situation, Makes the complex simple.
- Is an active and influential participant in the network.
- Significant experience in an HSSE role/s and/or operational roles with HSSE accountabilities
- Excellent understanding of OMS ,
- Excellent planning and organizing, problem solving and influence skills - Excellent presentation & communication skill.
- Proven ability to think and act both operationally and strategically
- Track record of engaging at all levels of an organization to effectively build trust and provide support.
- Safety engineering or chemical engineering major preferred
- Contribute to a more sustainable environment
- Listen carefully and consider different perspectives
- Pursue systematic management through standardization clarification and the elimination of defects.
- Enable others to trust me by delivering on my accountabilities and standing by decisions when they are made.
