As the Indirect Category Senior Manager (Machinery) - Asia, you will lead category strategy and sourcing initiatives for critical CAPEX machinery investments across Asia. This role provides an opportunity to shape the regional supply base, drive total cost of ownership improvements, mitigate supply risks, and enable business growth through strategic procurement leadership.
You will partner closely with manufacturing, engineering, finance, operations, and business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies that support operational excellence, innovation, and new product development initiatives across multiple divisions.
Our Team
You will join Molex's Asia Indirect Procurement organization and report to the Asia Indirect Category Management Director. The team is responsible for developing regional sourcing strategies, driving supplier performance, and creating value through collaboration with global and regional stakeholders. Together, we support business growth by ensuring a competitive, resilient, and innovative supply network across Asia.
What You Will Do

Develop and execute category strategies for CAPEX machinery and related services across Asia to improve cost, quality, and supply performance.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, operational requirements, and growth initiatives.

Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting activities to secure long-term value and supply continuity.

Drive supplier performance and supply base optimization through strategic partnerships, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support new product development and manufacturing investments by influencing sourcing decisions that improve cost competitiveness and operational outcomes.

Leverage market intelligence, spend analytics, and benchmark data to identify opportunities for innovation, standardization, and value creation.

Lead and develop a high-performing category team while fostering collaboration across regional and global procurement networks.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree.
-
Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management within manufacturing, electronics, industrial, or related industries.

Experience leading sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements.

Experience managing or leading procurement teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.

Experience analyzing spend, cost, and supplier performance data to support sourcing decisions.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
What Will Put You Ahead

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

MBA or other advanced business degree.

Experience managing CAPEX equipment, machinery, tooling, automation, precision engineering, or manufacturing services categories.

Experience supporting new product development or manufacturing expansion initiatives.

Procurement experience within the connector, electronics, or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.

Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CIRM, or CPIM.

Previous international assignment or global sourcing experience.

Mandarin and English language proficiency.
