- As a minimum we would expect the successful candidate to meet the following requirements:
- over 5 years relevant work experience;
- sailing experience/ship’s superintendent or Class surveyor for ships in service, or repair yard manager experience is preferable.
- familiarity with statutory and classification society rules;
- familiarity with marine equipment and system commissioning; and
- good communication skills, competence in written and spoken English;
- self-motivated with willingness to work as part of a team, learn and take risks;
- pro-active in terms of developing competence, problem solving and proposing solutions;
- capable of problem solving and proposing solutions; and
- ability to work efficiency to deadlines, under pressure and in situations of uncertainty.
The following would be looked upon favourably
- familiarity with alternative fuels and systems on board ships, FSRU, FLNG, FPSO etc.
