Senior Manager, Production

The Senior Manager, Production will take point on managing production efforts for the China region. This role will focus on co-development opportunities with external partners, helping to drive the evolution and sustainability of our existing live service games, and owning the result of the co-development pipeline. You will work closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality regional based contents and features, while contributing to strategic planning and execution across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Own business results of all the co-development initiatives and be responsible for timely delivery and optimal financial results.

Drive production efforts for co-development initiatives with internal and external partners.

Define and maintain project roadmaps, track progress against milestones and proactively identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, planning mitigations and appropriate escalation as needed.

Collaborate with central development teams to align development pipelines and priorities.

Standardize process and status reporting methodologies, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to track progress, forecast milestones, and provide senior leadership with ongoing visibility into results.

Provide leadership, support and guidance to direct or indirect teams, managing performance effectively and fostering a positive, collaborative work culture.

Represent China-based initiatives in global planning and ensure regional needs are integrated into product strategy.

Proactively seek growth opportunities, optimize processes, scale up successes, spread best practices

Facilitate effective communication and coordination across disciplines, ensuring progress, alignment, accountability, and regular updates on key projects and goals.

Serve as Source of Truth of CN Co-Dev initiatives, provide unified understanding on scopes, timeline, feasibility and results for all stakeholders
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in AAA game development, with a strong background in production or similar role.

Experience coordinating across product, art, design, engineering, and external development teams. to ensure smooth execution of business priorities and operational goals.

Experience tracking complex projects and providing insight and influence into how to deliver more effectively and mitigate risks.

Effective communication with both production/Engineering nuance to the dev stakeholders and strategic business implications to product stakeholders and leaderships.
Knowledge & Skills

Understand game development, how Blizzard and our partner works, to act as a translation layer and smoothening out operations and misunderstandings.

Can work closely with partners and proactively manage agreed processes and timelines.

Understand both the tactical layer of tools and implementation as well as the strategic layer and big picture goals.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and business acumen.

Strong foundation of software development lifecycle and operational execution.

Familiarity with outsourcing/ExDev workflows and vendor management.

Ability to work across time zones and cultures, with a global mindset.

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and strong proficiency in English required for effective communication with local and global teams.
