Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Import & Customs Clearance Manager to lead import customs clearance activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence across inbound logistics processes.
The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in import customs regulations and clearance processes, issue resolution, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Import Customs Clearance Management
- Lead import clearance activities, including import customs clearance status monitoring, FTA savings, extra tariff exemption, and green channel declaration management to ensure timely and compliant shipment release.
- Accelerate urgent shipments and coordinating with customs brokers and relevant stakeholders
- Review customs documents and conduct spot checks, and manage documentation filing and providing to stakeholders
2. Inspection and Audit Support
- Coordinate inspection-related activities, including pre-checks for licensed or regulated products, and ensure label information is aligned with declaration data and regulatory requirements.
- Support customs post-audits, prepare tax refund cases, handling exceptional cases
3. Performance Management
- Drive monthly dashboard updates, KPI reviews, and performance analysis to enhance customs clearance efficiency
- Manage brokers and 3PL to ensure service quality with company and regulatory requirements
4. Continuous Improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities, strengthen compliance controls, and enhance operational efficiency and risk management.
- Drive collaboration across the logistics team, cross-functional functions, and global teams to provide value-added services and develop effective solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in import & export, customs clearance experience is required
- Experience in trade compliance, FTZ operations is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across teams and external partners.
- Ability to leverage PBI, AI tools to enhance reporting, generate insights.
- Good command of written and spoken English
