Job overview and responsibility
- LCL Export Development - Build own LCL export volumes from China through targeted customer acquisition and structured pipeline management.
- Priority Trade Lanes – Develop potential lanes such as India, Vietnam, Thailand, EU and activate consolidations based on volume.
- Product - Create and Develop China’s LCL product strategy, including gateway selection, sailing frequency, and co-loader partnerships.
- Pricing - Build competitive buy/sell rate structures, margin models, and customer-specific quotations.
- Procurement - Manage procurement for shipments handled via co-loaders or non-owned consolidations.
- Agent Network Expansion - Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with overseas agents in key markets to drive nominations into China.
- Promote China office capabilities to overseas partners to secure FOB/EXW nominations and increase freehand LCL volumes.
- Customer Development - Customers and Key account visits, presentations, RFQ handling, and activate accounts with regular volume.
- Track China’s LCL market, competitors’ info and co-loaders capabilities
- Prepare SOP & Documentation flow for consolidation and co- loading
KPIs
- Export LCL volume growth (CBM/TEU).
- Gross profit and revenue
- Number of new LCL export accounts activated.
- Activation of new consolidations per gateway.
Required skills and experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- +8 years of LCL freight forwarding experience, specifically in building export volumes in China.
- Strong knowledge of China export flows, co-loader networks, and consolidation operations (Shanghai/Ningbo/Shenzhen/Qingdao).
- Proven B2B sales, negotiation, and customer development skills.
- Ability to interpret pricing structures, margin drivers, and procurement logic.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable in competitive markets.
