Adjusts instruments to calibration standards and assembles and builds equipment as needed. - Procures, installs, commissions, and accepts new laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and operational needs.
- Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs and periodic inspection plans for laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Coordinates and performs equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and upgrade activities to ensure equipment reliability and functionality.
- Identifies equipment failures, determines root causes, and coordinates corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintains equipment inventories, asset records, maintenance histories, and related documentation throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Develops and maintains equipment operating procedures, work instructions, and other technical documentation.
- Provides equipment operation training and technical support to laboratory personnel and evaluates user competency as required.
- Supports equipment selection, technical evaluation, procurement activities, vendor communication, and laboratory equipment improvement projects.
- Establishes and maintains equipment management processes and procedures in accordance with Quality Manual requirements and laboratory operational standards.
- Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of equipment management and laboratory support activities.
1 Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2 Minimum three years of experience in laboratory equipment management, equipment maintenance, or related technical fields. Experience in the testing, inspection, and certification industry is preferred.
3 Good English reading, writing, and communication skills.
