This Product Development Engineer will provide solutions and product structure designs based on customer requirements, responsible for technical communication with customers or internal front.
Job Descriptions:
- Lead product quotation and cost analysis, Optimize and drive competitive cost (including external quotation& internal cost, production capacity, manpower, equipment, fixture, material usage etc.)
- Lead DFMEA based on new design.
- Define product design verification and acceptance of new products, including testing plans and confirmation of product functional performance.
- Define the specifications and standards of relevant materials, such as product specifications, raw material specifications, packaging requirements, etc.
- New product introduction, responsible for the design/drawing review and release of process drawings, including the conversion of customer drawings, Tracking and resolving product issues during the development process.
- Lead manufacturing feasibility reviews and provide DFM for customer.
- Responsible for executing engineering ECN/PCN changes related to the product.
- Procurement and processing of NPI stage sample materials.
- Responsible for maintaining product data, including QAD, CFCF, ARAS, customs declaration documents, customer requested product information etc.
- Assist in improving the problem points that arise during the production process of mass-produced products, confirming and determining anomalies, and assisting QE in handling customer complaints.
- Participate in lean production and innovation culture activities organized within the factory, assist department in achieving savings and innovation goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related majors
- English CET 4 or above. Reading and writing are must, Oral is plus.
- Above 5 years' work experience in product design, and above 5 year’s NPI work experience, have automotive parts/datacom electronics industry e is preferred.
- Understanding of EMI/Thermal technology and work practices is plus.
- Good skilled on CAD, ProE, 3D designs.
- FEA finite element analysis and Rich experience in DFMEA is plus.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes, especially stamping, electroplating, and assembly processes.
- Experience/Knowledge on tooling design is plus. Professional in 6 Sigma is plus.
