For our R&D Test team, we are looking for a EMC Type Test Engineer to help us drive development and implementation of EMC type tests within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to get to know you.
You'll make an impact by
- Create type test plan according to product requirement specification, feature specification, and related regulations together with CPO, development engineers, and other experts in the test organization.
- Prepare the test setup and environment according to the test plan.
- Perform the defined test cases according to the test plan.
- Record the product errors during the test and support the debugging process together with development engineers.
- Generate type test reports and archive final test results formally.
- Maintain test lab equipment and infrastructure according to lab management regulations (e.g., ISO17025, ISO14001, etc.).
- Participate in multinational teams and international projects (e.g., China, Europe, etc.).
- Analyze and support field problems.
- Maintain awareness of occupational safety/work safety.
- Perform other assignments arranged by the line manager according to business needs.
Your defining qualities
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, electronics, automation, or equivalent.
- More than 2 years of professional experience in the EMC type test area.
- Knowledge of power electronics systems and components, as well as typical applications of drive/inverter systems.
- Familiarity with international norms and regulations regarding drive/inverter EMC tests (e.g., IEC61800-3/IEC61000-4/CISPR32/IEC61800-5-2).
- Basic knowledge of lab management systems, such as ISO17025.
- Basic understanding of certifications (e.g., CE, KC, UKCA, etc.).
- Fluent written and spoken English skills are required.
- Basic experience and background in ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
