Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the design of the company’s proprietary products, including pressure vessels, towers, heat exchangers, acid distributors, and other related equipment in Sulfuric Acid Industrial.
2. Based on project process conditions and applicable codes and standards, and in accordance with the company’s relevant design technical specifications, carry out equipment structural design, material selection, and design optimization.
3. Prepare equipment data sheets and drawings based on design outputs; conduct technical clarification with equipment manufacturers and review vendors’ fabrication drawings; ensure that pressure vessel designs comply with applicable national and project-specific standards and regulatory requirements.
4. Responsible for preparing and updating the design technical specifications (Design Guides) for the company’s proprietary products, clearly defining design scope, technical requirements, and deliverables.
5. Prepare, review, and maintain project-related technical documents, including design drawings, calculation sheet, technical specifications, and technical deliverables, and manage the archiving of relevant documents.
6. Support the work of proposal engineers and procurement engineers by providing Bills of Materials (BOM) and relevant technical requirements required for inquiries and purchasing activities;
7. Work closely with project engineers and inspection engineers to resolve technical issues arising during equipment fabrication and inspection processes.
8. Participate in project execution and coordination as required, supporting the achievement of project schedule, quality, and delivery objectives.
9. When necessary, provide technical guidance for equipment installation at customer sites to ensure successful project delivery.
10. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management and proactively complete additional tasks assigned by department leader.
Qualifications
1. More than 5 years of experience in the design of chemical equipment such as pressure vessels, towers, and heat exchangers in a pressure vessel manufacturing company; with independent design experience of at least three shell/tube heat exchanger projects.
2. Familiar with relevant design codes, standards, and industry requirements for pressure vessels and chemical equipment, especially GB 150, GB 151, ASME Section VIII, and TEMA standards.
3. Proficient in using CAD design software, with the ability to independently complete equipment structural design, strength calculations, and engineering drawings.
4. Preferably familiar with the use of HTRI heat exchanger design software.
5. Familiar with commonly used ASTM and GB material standards, particularly common austenitic stainless steel materials.
6. Proficient in spoken and written English, able to conduct technical communication and read and prepare technical documents in English.
7. Candidates with experience in foreign-invested companies or international projects, or with project execution / coordination experience, or with quality inspection-related experience are preferred.
8. Proactive at work, with a strong sense of responsibility and good teamwork spirit.
