Internship - ERP Transformation Project
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-orientedERP Transformation Project Internto join our global transformation team. In this role, you will sit at the heart of our SAP S/4HANA& EWM deployment, gaining hands-on exposure to a large-scale digital + business transformation. You will directly support the Project Management Office (PMO) and work cross-functionally across critical workstreams - including system integration, system testing master data, user training, organizational change management, and technical/business go live.
This is an exceptional opportunity to learn how a multi-million dollar technology implementation operates from the ground up and build highly marketable enterprise project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. PMO& Governance Support
- Track Project Milestones: Support PMO in maintaining and updating the master deployment project plan, tracking deliverables across various workstreams.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize, document, and distribute action items/minutes for critical workstream syncs and steering committee updates.
- RAID Log Management: Assist in maintaining the Risk, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) log, ensuring owners update their mitigation plans weekly.
2. Integration& Partner System Readiness
- Interface Tracking: Maintain the master integration matrix, tracking the development, testing, and sign-off status of all inbound and outbound interfaces connecting to S/4HANA& EWM.
- Partner Coordination: Act as a liaison with external third-party partners, vendors, and business users to coordinate connectivity setup and end-to-end interface testing schedules.
- Cutover Planning for Systems: Support the Integration Lead in mapping out the precise transition activities for all partner system’s interfaces.
2. Master Data Readiness
- Data Readiness Tracking: Assist Data Lead and business data owners in tracking the progress of data collection and verification cycles across all data objects.
- Data Dictionary& Governance Documentation: Assist in documenting data definitions, field-level requirements, data loading and verification strategy in a Data Input Plan to support future data governance processes.
- Data Reconciliation Support: Help document pre- and post-load data reconciliation reports, ensuring loaded SAP data perfectly matches approved source files.
4. Testing Coordination
- Status& Defect Tracking: Monitor status and defect metrics during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Acceptance Testing (SAT) using tools like Solman, .
- Tester Support: Help coordinate testing schedules, ensuring business testers have the correct access, test scripts, and data variants required.
- Test Logistics& Environment Readiness: Coordinate the logistics of testing cycles, including booking testing rooms, tracking daily tester attendance, and confirming that necessary test data and environment connectivity are ready prior to execution.
5. Training, Authorizations& Organizational Change Management (OCM)
- Training Logistics: Coordinate the scheduling of end-user training sessions, tracking completion rates across different business units.
- Role Mapping: Support the security team in mapping business users to specific SAP security roles and authorizations based on organizational design.
- Engagement& Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and facilitate change management events - including town halls, roadshows, leadership alignment workshops, and "Go-Live Countdown" activities - to build project awareness, drive user adoption, and celebrate key deployment milestones.
6. Cutover& Hypercare Support
- Cutover Clockwork: Support the Cutover Lead in tracking the hour-by-hour sequence of business and technical events during the go-live window.
- Command Center Operations: Act as a central point of contact in the Hypercare Command Center post-go-live, logging user issues and routing tickets to the correct support squads.
- Lessons Learned& Post-Mortem Documentation: Capture feedback, continuous improvement ideas, and unresolved pain points during hypercare to document a formal "lessons learned" log for future deployments or the business-as-usual (BAU) support team.
Job Requirements
Education& Experience
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inManagement Science& Engineering, Information Management, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Software Engineering, or related business and technical disciplines.
- Prior internship experience in project management, business analysis, or IT operations is highly desirable.
Technical& Analytical Skills
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Workspace (especiallyGoogle Sheets for data tracking via formulas/Pivot Tables,Google Slides for stakeholder presentations, andGoogle Docs for documentation) preferred but not a must.
- Project Tools: Familiarity with project management collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday, or Airtable) is a strong plus.
- SAP Awareness: Basic understanding of what an ERP system is - direct exposure to SAP (S/4HANA& EWM) navigation is a major advantage but not mandatory (we will train you).
Soft Skills& Competencies
- Extreme Organization: Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks simultaneously without letting details slip through the cracks.
- Clear Communication: Confident communication skills to interface effectively with cross-functional teams, external consultants, and internal business stakeholders.
- Resilience& Agility: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment (especially during critical testing and cutover phases).
