Temporary Role
The APAC Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a key leadership role across the region, overseeing strategic sourcing within a regional/multi-site context. The manager will drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership (including achieving favorable purchase price variance), mitigate supply risk, and create long-term value through robust sourcing strategies. Key responsibilities include spend analysis, development of optimal sourcing strategies, execution of competitive bidding and negotiations, and management of supplier contracts and terms.
Responsible for:

Driving cost synergies through supplier consolidation, strategic sourcing, and category management initiatives across the APAC region.

Enabling efficiency by actively supporting New Product Development (NPD)

Building and nurturing strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure alignment, performance, and long-term collaboration.

Leading process improvements

Developing regional sourcing talent, fostering a high-performing team culture focused on continuous improvement and capability building.
Qualifications:
Experience (required):
-
5 years procurement / sourcing experience
-
Proven success in strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier evaluation, commercial contract understanding, risk mitigation, and/or index pricing

Demonstrated ability in the use of ERP systems

Familiarity with commodity market and total cost assessments

Experience (preferred):

Knowledge of direct and indirect Strategic Sourcing concepts: Categorization, Supplier Performance Management, Cost Management, Contract Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Supplier Diversity

Skilled in SAP ERP system functions – purchase orders, consignment, supplier agreements

New Product Development (NPD), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) Procure-to-pay (P2P) process
Education (required):

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or other related discipline
Education (preferred):

CPM or CPSM certification
