Monitor, analyze, and interpret evolving global trade laws, regulations, and policies applicable to the company, and assess their impact on business strategy and operations.
Advise on trade compliance risk assessments, audits, validation activities, and due diligence reviews, and develop enhancement or remediation plans as needed.
Provide strategic legal advice on import/export controls and trade compliance matters, including R&D, procurement, and production activities.
Design, implement, and advise on trade compliance policies, operating procedures, and technology control plans across China and AP.
Support product classification, export control determination (including EAR analysis), ECCN classification, license determination, and license applications.
Conduct or support certain trade-compliance–related internal investigations.
Manage critical projects and oversee cross-functional activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Review contracts from a trade compliance and export control perspective.
Communicate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, agents, customers, trade associations, and government authorities, on trade compliance requirements and industry best practices.
Coordinate with external legal counsel as appropriate and work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, business units, and functional teams.
Provide regular updates on trade compliance developments, risks, and enforcement trends.
